The Authorisation Process
For security reasons, purchases are authorised either by telephone or by using an electronic terminal connected to American Express.
The Transaction Process
Paying with the American Express Card is very simple:
- Present the Card for payment.
- You will receive a Record Of Charge which has the details of the Card, the amount charged and the date.
- Check if correct, and then sign.
After signing, a copy is kept by the Merchant while you retain the original as your receipt of purchase. Please bear with us as the transaction might require a call to be made to American Express for an authorisation code. This is only required to stop any unauthorised use of the Card.
